Havnt seen a mention of this (perhaps buried in some other thread) but some people might find this useful:

Learn to Ski/Board for Free!
Free Learn To Ski and Board Day.

In honor of the first day of winter, for the first 45 minutes on December 22, learn to ski and board packages will be free. This includes a beginner lift ticket, rental equipment and an hour and half lesson at 9:30am. A $62 dollar value for free. For ages 6 and up.

Please come to the Express Line desk to redeem your lift ticket. Rental forms can be filled out and bought with you to speed up the process. Rentals agreement forms can be downloaded off here.

There are no upgrades on lift tickets with this promotions. The beginner lift ticket gains access to the nutmeg chair and the magic carpet only. This promotion is for beginners to learn to skiing or boarding.

Thanks

I did post it in the Skiing on the Cheap thread. Awesome deal! If I could find someone to watch the kids, I'd probably take the first timer's snowboard lesson. Hard to pass up something like that! As it is, I'm trying to talk my brother into going since he's mentioned before that he thinks he'd like to try boarding.

I, for one, think this is a great idea. A real good way to get people interested in the sport!

I do this thing once a year and try to snow board, it's fun to try something different and challenge your self sometimes
