I was giving Chris the benefit of doubt and assuming that Sundown would continue to have a sweet bump run... ;)

Well, put it this way - if Mohawk a bump philosophy similar to Sundown, I would ski there a lot more often. But like you said earlier, they need a terrain park first.

I might ski there more often, but I'd still primarily ski at Sundown.

I first skied in Connecticut at Mohawk Mountain in December of 1992 right after a Nor'easter brought about 18" of snow to the mountain. The powder was very deep, but the mountain was not very steep:lol:. Still the skiing was good.

We took many trips up to the mountain and my son had his first turns on ski's there at
23 months of age. Mohawk used to have a much longer season and I can remember skiing there in early November as well as early April. Since the mountain is close to the Housatonic River I also skied and kayaked in the same day.

Wildwood used to have nearly top to bottom bumps and when it did the skiing was fairly decent.

I like Ski Sundown and when I first skied there, Gunbarrel was loaded with moguls from top to bottom and very challenging. That trail is still my favorite in Connecticut, groomed or otherwise.

I like Mohawk for the longer groomed cruisers, twisty New England style trails near the summit, cheaper lift tickets and lack of crowds. I like Ski Sundown for Gunbarrel, convenience to home and strong snowmaking/grooming.

If I had to choose, I would pick Mount Southington:flame:
