Rode Upper Paugussett this morning. A bit chilly, but nice. Tried out the new light but didn't have enough charge and it died 3/4s of the way through. Didn't really need it but it was fun to try it out. Saw lots and lots of White Tails. No bucks. Orange season starts Monday. If you are going to ride M-Sat, please wear blaze orange.

Thanks for the heads up about hunting season. What time did you get started? It must have been pretty chilly. It was nice and cold in Torrington when I left at 6:30 this morning.

I was looking at the hunting dates posted on Crankfire. Good on you Gremf for spreading the word.

At first I thought it was sad that MTBers had to worry about this. But I guess if we have the right to ride in the woods during the spring/summer they have the right to hunt in the fall/winter. Different strokes...

I went out at 6:15 and it was 50 degrees. I wore a long sleeved jersey but I probably could have done a short sleeve, too. It just gets so cold riding to the trail head sometimes.

They aren't posted on CF but I got a heads up from Bikerag.com I have a post on my blog about it, too. For some reason, I don't know what it is but I love the color the orange. Maybe I associate with riding and l love riding ... I don't know.

Hunters serve a purpose but when you look at the Hunting Map you can see where there is all of white space means very urbanized areas yet there are still many, many deer there.

Here my post: Orange Season

Yeah, I did, didn't I. I am tired of CF. I will still use them for track info and loading tracks, ride reports, and GPS stuff, but I think I like it here better. Don't worry, if you have seen some of my posts over there, that sophomoric behavior stays there.

I like this site because the primary user base seem to be more along my demographic, 30 to 40 somethings, married or in a serious relationship, some have a few kids, and just care about getting outside and riding, skiing, etc.

that certainly is the key demo here. but even on AZ we can all be sophomoric at times. ;-)

And sometimes it even dips below the level of sophomoronic, but not for the most part.

Glad to have you here Gremf, you will fit in just fine around these parts.
