Although not the most hairball thing I have done this season, it is the most hairball thing I have a rad pic of.

April 2008, Anyone who knows the area knows it is steep. Almost never holds any snow, even has the occasional avalanche in the Winter.

This spring while decending Pipeline Gully in the Great Gulf, I came up to the partially open waterfall. All I saw was a ski sitting at the top of it. I was afraid my friend who had gone in front of me was going to be hurt. Then his head popped up from below saying that he was okay. He had attempted to shed speed before negotiating the crux spot but his ski relaesed and he slid over the rocks and snow on his butt and was able to successfully self arrest his slide. I tried to sidestep down to his ski but was unsuccessful due to rocks. I finally had to take off my skis. I grabbed his ski and threw it down, then threw my skis down. Then I proceeded to down climb the falls over a mix of ice and rock and water. Very sketchy feeling having the water rush down under you.
