First of all, I would like to say hi to Alpinezone because I am a new member.

I think the Northeast has several trails and mountains that don't get enough respect. I will start off this list and others may add to it:

PAT'S PEAK (This seems like a small and kiddie resort but it actually has some pretty steep and bumpy terrain as well as its green trails)
-Hurricane
-Cyclone (This trail is one of the best single blacks I've done in New Hampshire. I've never seen it mentioned)
-Twister (At night this trail rules all)

MOUNT WASHINGTON RESORT/BRETTON WOODS (People underrate this so much, it's cut trails are pretty easy but it has some TOUGH glade skiing)

-Lazy Man's (I've never seen a harder gladed trail, I took a look at this and got away the moment I saw it)
-Mr. Moose, Sierra's Crest, and Dark Star (Tough, dense, and steep gladed trails, didn't attempt them on my trip, maybe next time)

RAGGED MOUNTAIN (This has some great cruising terrain, one trail in particular is underrated but great)

-Flying Yankee (The best cruising run of my life. Period)

Please add to this list

Blue mountain..

Switchback..a very fast Blue trail with nice twist and turns..
Paradise..the fastest green trail ever..where I got chased after by the ski patrol and put in the database for fast skiing on a slow skiing trail..

Ragged has some of the best glades between the two peaks when there is snow. The Headwall and Cemetery Gates are pretty steep, but only for a short distance.

The Trials at Mt Snow. Good long and big area of trees. Different line everytime.

Speaking of Ragged, I plan on getting up there after a couple good dumps. I've been eyeing those glades for a few years now but have never gotten up there.

Profile at Cannon. It's steep, covered in bumps but i've never seen anyone mention it online.

Since when do they let Profile bump up? I didn't get to Cannon much last season, but I was there pretty often for 5 or 6 seasons before hand... I don't recall seeing anything other then baby bumps on Profile. Mostly I'd avoid that trail since it was a wind-tunnel -- any loose snow gets blasted off that trail, and fast.

I saw Profile closed with lots of bumps and very icy once. There was someone skiing it despite it being closed.

South Side of Chicago BOOM!
About the only thing that ascutney has going for it is the tree skiing.
After a storm the woods hold untracked for two-three days.
Meanwhile killington and the likes are tracked out in like three hours.
and lets not forget about Magic and Boltion Valley.

No one ever talks about While-a-Way at Spruce...Short, but fantastic. Classic New England with tons of terrain.

Well, maybe Profile isn't good.

I'd take some other runs over Profile at Cannon. I've only skied there a few times, but the last time I was there it was half bumped with decent sized moguls (skiers right)...Skier's left was "hardpack" and I could see coke cans under the surface  if you know what I mean.

I'd take Hardscrabble at Cannon for underrated runs. It's a classic, twisty, narrow run down the skier's left of the mountain and it's full of bumps...sorta reminded me of Chin Clip at Stowe...but, it was a bit rougher around the edges.

Whaleback is worth a mention too, a decent amount of steeper and gladed runs for a small place.

I haven't skied a lot of different mountains, but I was really impressed with Whiteface. It definitely has an unfair reputation.

Yeah, Whiteface has some pretty steep stuff but only the slides get the attention. Since I'm an advanced (not extreme expert but advanced) skier I had lots of trail choices at Whiteface.
