Oh, and I can't believe I haven't said this. Shockwave at Sunday River. I haven't done it, but it seems underrated based on what I've read and how White Heat gets all the attention.

No one ever talks about While-a-Way at Spruce...Short, but fantastic. Classic New England with tons of terrain.

Whirlaway is great and the little boulder drop is MSY..:spread: Lookout at Stowe is another one of my favorites..way better snow than the front 4..don't tell anybody..

Slide of Hans - just never seems to get mentioned in all the Magic Talk, Red, Black, Master, etc.

Saddleback - Off too many people's radars. I think the 'Loaf is such a magnet, many never experience what a gem Saddleback really is.

Mt Abram, ME. Generally a feeder mountain, but on a powder day it's great fun with a few interesting steeps and glades.

Underrated: Burke.

Overrated: Bretton Woods. Gotta disagree with the original post. This place, overall, is too expensive for its size and vert.

Agreed about Bretton Woods. The great thing about their glades is how EASY and fun they are. Tougher glades are a snap to find at other mountains. Definitely too expensive but I luck into free passes there because of someone I know. They do have the nicest base lodge this side of Saddleback.

Saddleback has got to be most underrated. If you like classic New England style trail design and glades, it's as good as it gets. Again, best lodge around...

Attitash - Ptarmagin and Tim's Trauma have good pitches. Illusion on Bear Peak is a good thigh burner when run non-stop.
