late AM coffee break/warm up mini - TR
TEMPS around 10 - WINDS light but building from the SE as the morning has rolled on. Overcast. Light/moderate crowds (most crowded at Carinthia but even then its a 2 min line on the quad

Lots of fresh snowmaking whales/machine groomed snow all over the mountain with some very isolated thin spots on some of todays rope drop trails - calling for atmost a couple inches from the storm here tonight/tommorrow.

Time to head back out for some more 1st day turns

Thanks for checking in! Haven't heard from family members there today. Some of us our stuck back home, waiting on the storm (and laughing at the huge lines forming at the one gas station in town).

Glad to hear the lift line at Carinthia is moving quickly. Still smarting from the horror show there last weekend.

How is the North Face skiing? Any bumps forming yet?

No real bump lines in the north face/beartrap yet- freefall has a bunch of good sized whales down most of skier's left. Beartrap had a nice thick coat of what I'd classify as "base snow" - both of those runs need some working in - yard sale looks like it will open tommorrow with a buncj of big whales on it - lots of Snowmaking on all mountain faces today

Glad you're getting some doc!

Thanks Root! Your FB pics looked like you had a good time on the hill too!

I'll see if I can get a few pics from today uploaded after I get home tonight from doing some "quality control" testing of the mini keg of Heineken in Vcunning's beertender ;) Including a pic of a skiing Santa in rear entry boots!

That sounds like a fantastic idea.

We clearly had some quality troubles with the beer last night. May I request your assistance in another test?

And on another note, my favorite runs of the day were Mineshaft to Inferno. Great cruisers with no features yet (although there were some hidden bumps in very, very flat light).

The longest line I waited in was approximately 4 minutes at the North Face . . . and only because it had stopped for a few minutes.

Can you say "last night" at 1:39AM?

Hey! Me and my crew left Vcunning's by 8! ;)

Beertender was a bit foamy last night in it's pours. Still though a mighty cool experience to be pouring a beer and literally 30 feet away on the otherside of a sliding glass door is a pisten bulley working on a park feature!
