Enough said! It was great! Probably one of the top 5 spring skiing weather weekends I've had in my 30 years of skiing!

We skied yesterday afternoon...it was awesome. I'll have some pics up later. With a fresh coat of wax, the snow was actually pretty fast. I did a little jumping, pond/puddle skimming and took a run down the "Euler Memorial Half Pipe". All in all, a good day.

Gotta thank Vcunning for taking these pics, as after the passholders meeting on Saturday, V and I were given a GREAT tour of the INSIDE of the Canyon Quad base lift terminal by the head of Mountain Ops, Dave Moulton

Some of the many tires/belts used on the deceleration(?sp) side of the lift

My favorite, the view looking up the haul rope line from the decking infront of the terminal

It was a really cool tour IMHO and a HUGE thanks to Dave!

Are you planning on participating "Sink or Skim" on the 29th?

It's crossed my mind! Got a lot going on though, so I'm not sure if I can pull it off. It would be a ton of fun though. I'd dress up as "Vince" from the "ShamWow" and "SlapChop" commercials. :spin:

Yep, DrJeff and I are snow geeks.

It was a spectacular tour. I learned a ton about all the mechanics and safety involved. It was very impressive.

What we didn't get was a photo of us on the catwalks outside in front of the terminal.

It was very nice for Mount Snow management to spend some time with us. Thanks again to Dave.

Let me know . . . I'll bring out the air horns, cowbells, video camera and the ShamWow posters (featuring your head, of course).

I know all too well that your photoshop abilities are more then up to the task of pulling that off! On multiple occasions this past Saturday at the passholders party I had various members of the Mount Snow administration and passholders themselves comment that they recognized me from the squeegee picture!

LMAO!!! That's classic! I guess the one good thing about not being there is less ammo to use in the future!

Looks like great coverage

The fan guns trails are wall to wall and deep, the "traditional" snowmaking trails are mostly wall to wall(some of the far reaches of wide trails such as South Bowl have the traditional cancer spots showing through) and the naturals are anywhere from done, pending another storm, to wall to wall depending on which way they face with respect to the sun and prevailing wind.

If mother nature is feeling cooperative weather wise, and folks keep showing up and buying a few tix, Mount Snow has a solid 6+ weeks of operation potential left.

good crowd in the base area in the photo, guess buisness is still decent

Seemed to me like a crowd volume that you'd almost expect on a good weather weekend in January/February instead of March!
