Resort or Ski Area: Mount Snow
Conditions: WARM and sunny, perfect spring conditions
Trip Report:
Amazing spring day at Mount Snow on Saturday. Short of an epic powder day, its tough to have more fun skiing than sixty, sunny, and slushy.
Defintely some bare areas on the front side of the mountain (especially after today's nastiness), but pretty much the entire north face was skiing great.
Great bumps under the lift:
Challenger defies Mt Snow's reputation for having nothing but wide, boring cruisers...fun little run:
Same with PDF:
Good variety of runs on the North Face, but after a few hours we decided to venture to another part of the mountain. After a lackluster run down the only trail still open on the Sunbrook side, we ended up on Bear Trap. Perfect run for mid-afternoon bump laps. Chill vibe with the music blaring, and just long enough to allow you get you in a rhythm (without being so long that you get worn out).
The front side isn't the most exciting skiing in the world, but there was some fun to be had. This is Canyon, I think:
and its pretty hard not to enjoy yourself during Reggae Fest weekend, with all the music,
the "duct tape derby" craziness, and of course some pond-skimming:
Mount Snow really seems to do spring skiing right. Good times...
