Crap-ola. I have a critical work project to finish up by 10/28 and I have class tomorrow (not to mention the she-boss would kill me!)

edit: Very cool of Mount Snow to offer this for free

Got the e-mail on my mobile when we were visiting friends this afternoon. I proceeded to show everyone pics. "Look! Snow in October!!"

what they going to chargh for people to hike. or do think becuase they said lift tickets that they would be spinning a lift?

I think last year the lift tickets were free, but you had to hike. The lift ticket requirement exempts them from liability.

This does not count as 1st opening. I don't buy it.

Nobody claimed it was. Why so grumpy? :???:

My Visit to Mt. Snow

We stopped by Mt. Snow to see the skiers and riders playing in the mini-jib park today. It was a festive scene, though I'm waiting 'till 11/8 before I'll put my own skis on. While the mini-park is not for me, I say kudos to Mt. Snow for providing a bunch of people some good days of fun hiking and playing in the mini-park.

Hiking is needed (and will be tommorrow reguardless of how many hours the fan guns run tonight) - tixs are free and are mandatory purely for liability issues.

If I didn't have to work tommorrow and then go sit in a parking lot in Foxboro, Mass tommorrow afternoon/ evening for a few hours eating food and drinking some  prior to the Patriots/Broncos game tommorrow night, well I'd be up at my place across the street from Mount Snow right now watching the Sox/Rays game and listening to the sweet sound of fan guns humming in the distance :)

Just FYI, folks, a ticket does not release the resort from liability. A ticket is not a contract in the state of VT (nor is it in most states with skiing). All it does in terms of liability is boosts assumption of the risk, so that people are "informed" of the "inherent" risks of the sport. It's not a lawsuit stopper.

Back on topic... COOL!

It's probably also a way they can get you on their mailing list..I'm sure you get a "free" ticket, but you have to probably give them your name and address.

There is no way to truly protect your company from lawsuits. Any decent lawyer can get it thrown out.

IF: I had someone to watch the kids tomorrow, I didn't have a paper to write, and I didn't have a class, I would SO be there! I don't care if it's not much to ski on....it's SOMETHING!

Damn...

thats just crazy talk. i want a chair on opening day and at least a full run. well if its lift served anyway.
I missed so much of last season due to my knee injury that I really am not picky at this point. I went through a lot of crap this year and just plain skiing would make me happy right now; doesn't have to be special, doesn't have to be lift-served, just needs to get me out there so I can have some positive associations again.
