I was up there yesterday(Monday 5/21), some signs of activity by the new owners already! They've already knocked down the never used "overflow" ticket selling building located in the main base area between the clock tower building and the ski team building. They were digging a big hole in the ground behind the base of the canyon Express chair(although they did have a little pipe leakage from time to time there last season), and most interesting to me, as I was looking at the mtn through a pair of binoculars from my deck, some of the mtn ops folks were taking down all the tower mounted air/water guns along Snowdance, I'd guess in all likelyhood as a precursor for installation of tower mounted fan guns there later this summer.

No signs of new snowcats or fan guns yet around the mtn ops building, just a bunch of snowcats "getting a suntan" :)

Also, anyone with Edge Visa certificates, they're good until expiration date. I purchased Nor'easter passes for my wife and I yesterday and used up the last Edge certificates I had, and the woman in the Resort Reservation building that processed my pass order told me that they had received an e-mail from Chase Bank saying that they need to honor the certificates until the expiration date printed on them reguardless of what company owns the mountain on the day you use the certificates!

It was also nice to see Canyon Quad spinning yesterday for maintenance. Still a few patches of snow left on the main mountain (i posted a pic in the "remaining snowcover" thread

Yes Bob it's free so you can go.

I may go.

Last friday was reorganization day or as some have said termination day. Basically looked to limit FTYR staff and eliminate FTS with Benifits position. Some seasonal got YR but mostly the otherway around and the cutting of some deadwood.

I wish I could get up there to listen in again but I won't be able to. If someone could provide a nice write-up like I did for the one in March that would great!

Good to hear about stuff going on...

Any guesses as to what trails will get the fanguns? Snowdance...

South Bowl? Standard? Exhibition?

Darn, I wish I knew about this sooner. I'll be going up to my place at Mount Snow friday but I would have made plans to be there Thursday if I knew about this.
I'll also be very interested to hear what is discussed.

The meeting on Thursday is intended for area business people to meet Tim Boyd, president of Peak Resorts. There will be meeting specifically for season passholders in the near future. While some issues discussed may be the same, the topics that will be addressed at Thursday’s meeting will be oriented to bringing more guests to the valley and how that will impact area businesses.

Hope you're all enjoying the offseason!

Ahh okay. Sounds good Chris. I used to remember bumper to bumper through Wilmington years ago trying to get up there... more visitors is a good thing!
