You guys might remember we had some conversations about the MRA about a year or so ago. I couldn't find the thread but I think their goal is to sort of turn the mountain into a community owned and run operation. They had a kickstarter or other crowdfunding campaign a few years ago to kick off their efforts.
A co-founder of the international Mountain Riders Alliance organization will be the new general manager at Mt. Abram, as the MRA takes over management of ski area operations at the Greenwood mountain.
Mt. Abram has been partnering with MRA since 2011.
Jamie Schectman, also a founding partner of MRA and director of marketing and community development at Mt. Abram, said Tuesday that Dave Scanlan will be general manager, succeeding Kevin Rosenberg.
