Moved to SLC

Didnt someone from this board recently move to the Salt Lake City area?

If so does anyone know who it is? I am thinking of moving to the area myself and wanted to ask some questions about their experience.

No jobs where we'd like to live and not enough snow...im moving to ski more and be closer to the mtns.....Denver was in the running for a bit, but i like to proximity of skiing to Salt Lake City and the job market is BOOMING out there....

SLC is what it looks like now.....a move is imminent.

Of course........had an interview the other day went really well however they called back on Friday and decided to go with another candidate, though they said I made the "top three" and that it wasn't anything I did....just felt this person they chose what a slightly better fit. I assume its because they were likely already in the area...with a move in the mix there is likely going to be time needed off right away for house closings, moves, etc...

we might try to move first...havent decided..we'll see....ill keep pumping out the resume..I was actually surprised I even got a call for an interview with them knowing I was from out of state...

please keep your fingers crossed for me.. ;-)

hmmm im of the firm belief that real estate is NEVER a bad thing to have too much of...but thanks for the advice...we are planning on it.

Greg was almost right -- it's been two years now, and I swear I'm never leaving. I absolutely love it here, and no, I'm not a member of the predominant local culture. That hasn't been an issue at all for me. Those who don't live here give that issue far more importance and trepidation than it deserves. In fact, I believe it to be largely responsible for the quality of life here: low crime rate, an immaculate downtown, and values that many other parts of the country can only aspire to.

I've been backchanneling skidog. Should anyone else have any questions, fire away here.
