MRG and backcountry - 1/26-27

Brenda and I hit some nice backcountry goods near Stowe this weekend after a challenging day at MRG on Saturday. There was a foot of fresh snow on top of a boilerplate base, which was fantastic on the lower angle slopes but murder on the steep stuff, as the whole hillside would slide as soon as you attempted the first turn.

DOH! My bad! It was the one shot in the video, I didn't realize the pics were one and the same.....and thanks for the info...still makes me paranoid though!

I have a strong x-country background and really enjoy watching the backcountry stuff, something I always wanted to get into.
Thanks again for the great shots.
