Well, it finally happened. We got a foot of unexpected snow, and a good amount of skier traffic. The mountain looks great! We've got bumps (and good ones) all over the place. Here are a few "stoke" pictures. Unfortunately, I had my camera in a funky mode, so the definition is poor. I will get out there and take some better pictures tomorrow. Rest assured, this was some of the finest skiing I've had since last March at the Jane!

Yeah, we were surprised here as well! They said 2-4". It was just starting to snow as I left work at about midnight. I got up at about 8:30, and there was easily 10" on the patio that had been shoveled yesterday. And it was still snowing!

Epic skiing. Truly. All of the natural trails skied great today, just like the meltdown never happened. Doesn't mean the hardpack won't show up again underneath, but for now... things are fantastic!

Can't wait for tomorrow AM!

The list of open runs is always posted online, and includes what has been groomed. No specific reference to bumps or no bumps, but I will start updating mogulskiing.net to keep you all up to date.

But for starters, as of today there were bumps on:

Black Diamond
Exterminator
Bravo
Encore
Hammerhead
Cliffs
Tumbler
Elbow (small and wide, but bumps nonetheless)
Semi-Tough (developing)
Which Way (developing)

I think that's it right now. FIS will be bumps soon. They just finished making snow. Lookin Good will bump up if enough people will ski it with some short turns.

More pix in about a half hour.

The big bumps on Black Diamond were down lower, but the cloud cover didn't allow for photo-taking.

Another great day. Tomorrow, I'm dragging dad along to get some video.
