Just got in from an amazing day at Mt. Snow. The rain and warmth softened everything up from the get-go. This was as close to a powder day as it gets. There were literally no tracks on any of the trails this morning, just a soft 2-3" corn harvest. Insane! I was cutting"freshies" all day. Everything - especially the bumps, were skiing as "good as it gets". If you are into the woods there was still plenty of coverage for one more hurrah tomorrow. Pack the gear and get out there.
Skied from 9:00- 4:30 (caught last chair at 4:01). Real short lunch break. It was too good.
Bumps to be found on Chute, Challenger, PDF, Ripcord, and some forming on Jaws. The groomers on the North Face were sweet also. Ledge is skiing insane down the face, as were Sap Tapper and Fantastics (skiers left all the way, trust me).
Uncles is cooked I think. Hit Bear Trap once early and it was nice but TNF was rocking today!
Another amazing spring skiing day. Totally making up for the lack of powder lately!
Time for dinner. I'll check in later. Get out there tomorrow. Mt Snow will be great.
Here's a few random shots from today:

FYI, when I got upto my place this evening, the mountain appeared to have lost little snow during the week! The only real noticeable "cancer spots" I could see on the main face were the standard skiers right of South Bowl, along the ridge lines on Overbrook and a couple of spots on the WWWAAAYYY far skiers/riders right of Snowdance

Thanks for the print preview reefer. My wife and I will be up there this afternoon. We'll hopefully be making some turns and then having a few drinks with Captain Fangun. :spin:

I'm envious beyond words. Going to the ortho this Weds to see what we can do to at least get me in working order for Summer since my winter was shot to hell by my little accident. Hope you all had fun in the sun today!

Thought of you yesterday while sitting on the Carinthia deck toward the end of the day enjoying a beer, staring at the half pipe. Was wondering if you had made it back to health yet. Good vibes for your injury to finally heal (and heal correctly!!).

And thankyou Reefer for posting. Saw this Friday night while trying to decide between Pico (where we have prepaid tickets and knowing this was the last weekend there) and Mount Snow (where we have season passes) for Saturday (knowing Sunday would be a washout). Your trip report tipped the scale in Mount Snow's favor and we opted to skip the extra 2 hour ride to Pico (losing the ticket money but regaining 4 hours we would have spent round trip on travel time). THOROUGHLY enjoyed Ledge. Even opted to skip looking for Captain Fangun so I could take a couple more runs down it.

Opted to skip Captain Fan Gun? I think you mean the award winning, victorious Captain Fan Gun. Here's some of what you missed:

Glad I could help, and you approve of your decision. It's why I post and why I read posts.
