MT Snow November 1st & 2nd

Trip Report: I was up there already for an event so why not give it a try. Over drinks at Deegan's Den (The former Decan's Den) we talked of a sunrise climb to the summit and a quick ski down. I was the only one there for the 6AM launch. I skinned up but the snow was looking very thin at best. I made a few turns under the fan guns on the Discovery chair. It was amazing how dry the fan gun snow was!

Saturday the had the Discovery Chair open and they had a good size crowd of jibbers "jibber palooza"

Looks like the latitude disadvantage kicked in and Mount Snow is waiting for a longer more consistent window for full on snowmaking. Cool pics though. It's coming!!!

Nice TR! I'm hoping the warmer weather this week doesn't hurt things up there too much. Bring on the cooler weather! We need some cold nights and cooler days.

I give Mt. Snow a lot of credit for opening up the small terrain park. I think it's created a lot of good buzz. Hell, it's all I talked about with a few guys at the ski shop I visited on Saturday.

I noticed that last year after having not been up to the area for awhile. Anyone know if it's new owners? We were gruffly told one day that they were closed for dinner on a particular Sunday as we pulled into the parking lot. We went to TC's instead.

i dont really see it as payback. they droped the ball last year and this year they are doing what the market wants. even if its at 65.

Been Deegan's for a couple years now. New owners. Old owner wanted big bucks for the Deacon name hence the synonym............................
