I bought some of those Price Chopper ticket books and have my first opportunity to use them this coming Tuesday. I can go to either Mt Snow or Okemo.

Two questions
1) Anyone use these ticket books and have good news/bad news? They had better work or Price Chopper is going to get a good word from me!

2) Given the conditions and mid-week "crowds" or lack thereof - where would you go? I've been to both this year and I guess I like Mt Snow considering the ease of longer runs with a single lift... but there is some merit to Okemo's set up where the kiddies are kept contained to some degree.

You can't go wrong with either. Just depends on how far you feel like driving.

what are your priorities? do you have kids in tow?

If you're looking for a reason NOT to go to one of them, I can't help. As everyone says, we're in the money right now. You've been to them both, so you pick. Sweet!

If you asked about terrain challenge or price, I might have an opinion on those aspects, but you didn't!

If you're interested in tons of groomed runs with similar surfaces and good lifts, Okemo is the place.

Mount Snow also has good groomers, but has the added benefit of better steeps and tree skiing over Okemo.

Also, the idea of Okemo having superior Snowmaking and grooming over Mount Snow I think can safely be debunked after comparing both thus far this season.

All preference I guess.

I have the same Price Chopper tickets and have had them in the past. Just be sure to follow the rule of not tearing the ticket out of the booklet until you get to the ticket window, and don't forget to fill out your personal info on the back of the ticket.

A nice new twist this year is the opportunity to get a free late season lift ticket if you use all 3 of the tickets at the same mountain during the season. In essence that can net down the cost of the booklet considerably.

I have no idea where you'll be traveling from, but another consideration for you might be Gore. The place is typically deserted on a weekday.
