That stupid fan gun on Roller Coaster was blowing some nasty wet stuff on anybody that rode Canyon Sunday. Made our goggles immedialty useless.

I've probably been on #50 20 times since it opened, including the 1st day it spun 12 seasons ago. Most have been "legit" rides (I didn't wait a chair or 2 to get it) but I will admit that on some DEAD days when I got to the loading gates and say #47-49 was entering the base terminal and there was absolutely nobody insight in the queue lanes behind me, that I have waited a few chairs to get the Golden BubbleI have never managed to get the golden bubble, do you guys step aside at the front of the line to let other chairs and people pass until you get chair #50 ? Or just lucky ?

Noticed the placement of that gun on Saturday. Was wondering when they lit it up Saturday night (I can see the fan gun lights from my condo), if it was going to PLASTER the lift. Never rode Canyon on Sunday or Monday. That stupid fan gun on Roller Coaster was blowing some nasty wet stuff on anybody that rode Canyon Sunday. Made our goggles immedialty useless.
Then that’s not ski on. That’s a 4 chair wait.lucky - even with a ski on bubble midweek, there is always 3-4 groups ahead of you - you can't hold up - that would be wrong

It was Peak's jewel in the crown. Epic really doesnt seem to give a fuck about the EastThen that’s not ski on. That’s a 4 chair wait.
anyway, mt snow still at 45 trails. Wtf. Thin cover / experts only. Open it up.
vail nerfed the hell out of mt snow. Fuckin shame If you ask me. I always had mt snow ahead of okemo.
Some ropes dropped today. I saw many more patrollers on the hill today than days prior so my guess is they kept ropes up due to patroller shortage?? Don't know. Dr?Then that’s not ski on. That’s a 4 chair wait.

Wednesday 1/24 and still no OMT, Overbrook, UPEX. And now the rain comes in. Ego was roped at the port entrance but if you went to the hidden starboard entrance you were smaaat. What a shame it was to have Nitro closed with those whales. Didn't they tease that it would be open on the snow report on friday too? SMH
With the current snowpack its criminal that the entire mountain (sans ripcord & jaws) wasn't open. Runs like One more time, overbrook, and upper exhibition should be open. Guess times truly are changing!
Did enjoy my first turns down committed though.
Hey, I set that roll of B-Net this past weekend with the race crew!Wednesday 1/24 and still no OMT, Overbrook, UPEX. And now the rain comes in. Ego was roped at the port entrance but if you went to the hidden starboard entrance you were smaaat.

I bet Ego Alley doesnt run again as long as vail owns the place. Dont think it has been spun in two years. However they may be forced to run it with the incoming ice!
They ran it 10am-2pm saturdays a number of times last year. It has spun this year in testing phase,I bet Ego Alley doesnt run again as long as vail owns the place. Dont think it has been spun in two years. However they may be forced to run it with the incoming ice!
Good deal. when your done setting net, how about heading out with patrol to drop some of these ropes. Unfortunately, too late now for a lot of stuff. Whats the story Dr. This is getting stupid.Hey, I set that roll of B-Net this past weekend with the race crew!
The only stuff I know is competition related items. Like Gulch, the park, not the travel lane on skiers/riders left will be roped and netted off on the lower half both days this weekend for the USASA Slopestyle Competition, and then there's a rail jam under the lights on Junkyard with food and drink options on the Carinthia Deck Saturday evening. Guessing Southbowl, Ego and Charlie's will have race/devo program training this weekend as well. I'll probably get to talk with a patroller or 2 this weekend if I have to do a few chapperoning shifts for the competition on Gulch. The ones I know are very honest about why some trails may be closed (as in greater than 2/3rds of the public don't have the predictable skills to safely handle the snow surface and/or patrol can't 100% safely get a toboggan if needed down the trail due to the snow conditions - as sometimes they have to QUICKLY get there and get down to base area 1st aid, and that potential isn't taken lightly for obvious reasons)Good deal. when your done setting net, how about heading out with patrol to drop some of these ropes. I get it. But if you have an ear, maybe use it & let them have it. You commented last year on F & B here, and that has been way better this year. If you got some juice, use it. Right now, the decisions on hill sucks out loud. I'd rather have nothing at the Bull Wheel and a closed Iron Loft all year than shitty skiing decisions. I'm not alone. The Facebook lame-ohs are not the core audience they should be listening too. Also of note - this place has been fairly empty, even on weekends. Southbowl and the 70ish rolls of b-net the race crew set on it over the last 10 days or so, has a bunch of weekend races coming up.
I just help time athletes and set up and take down various types of safety netting and ropes
