The snow was great again today. Wingding (upper, middle, lower) was the best run of the day. Blast off was good but I can not stand the long flat run out at the end. The other run Skyway Ledges to Westside to Chipmunk was in great shape also. Ridge should be ready soon, Upper Ridge was all ready groomed and snowmaking was occuring on the lower sections. No lift lines. There was alot of training for instructors. Great day for making GS turns and letting the skis fly. Left at about 1PM. I got about 20K vert today not bad for $25 with the frequent skier card.

Couple of observations:

It seems like they are not being aggressive with the snowmaking. Some runs have not even touched yet with snowmaking.

There are surveying stakes in a few spots along the Sunbowl quad. Top of Cartwheel and last tower before lift crosses Upper Wingding. New lift? It can not be anything to do with the law suit with the state. This is on the other side.

I would agree that they are being pretty stingy with the snowmaking. I was there Friday and they were barely blowing anything. 18 degrees and no wind at the summit. Mid 20's at the base. Only a few guns going.

Hopefully this Tuesday/Wednesday weather event has a net positive effect.
