They are very conservative on opening them. But there are ways around that as long as you know where to enter them. I do not want to give out all of the secrets though.

I wish they would blow snow in them like Pats Peak does. They could do this relatively eaisly since they are very close to trails with snowmaking.

Absolutely. I am basing my experience on my one season there. I may have skied Hawe's Hideout once. The season was average I'd say. I know it ended abruptly because of the warm-up, but they did what they could. Overall it was not a difficult area to figure out how to ski on a weekend. As a local, get there for 8am and you have 2 hours to hit the front side before it gets mobbed, then you went to other areas for the rest of the morning.
