Is probably going to be a huge bust, but for a good reason.

Baby #2 is due on December 31st :)

I won't be leaving the house for at least 6 weeks prior to my wife giving birth so there goes pretty much everything in 2013. And then I'm sure at least 8 weeks after birth I will be assisting my wife at home since my son will be around 18 months, so there goes January and February. Maybe I can get a few days in late season, March, April, maybe May.

SkiStef might have to run the AZ Summit solo!!

Well if there is ever a great reason that would be one of them! Think of it as an investment into future skiers that will give you a reason to get out on the slopes more in the future! It is one of the few things where we mentioned what we are doing (skiing) and our teenagers would comment "We're in!"

Congrats Nick. Our little guy is now 5 1/2 months and I can definitely envision myself not skiing as much this coming winter as normal. Certainly with a 2nd one and it's all hands on deck.

Good you mentioned abt the AZ Summit still going on, we're looking fwd to attending (not sure abt bringing baby)

Congrats! Luckily my daughter was born in the summer, but had it been wintertime I am not sure I could have been so accomodating. Your wife is lucky and you are a better man than I!

Wow, that's poor timing! Gotta time those things for the summer ....

Congrats! And now how about some details on the Summit ... it's wicked hot and thinking about skiing is keeping me sane ... ;-)

Congrats Nick and Family. Like someone else said, try PLANNING this a bit better next time Bud! I'm sure there will be plenty of trip reports that will keep you happy while sitting there with the little ones ;)

Congrats. The next 5 years will be pretty thin in terms in skiing, but 5 years from now, your kids will pretty much follow you everywhere and you'll know that it was all worth it. As awesome as skiing with your best buddies is, hitting a tough run with your kid is even better.

Agreed with the exception of the number of years! Nick, I am pretty sure you will be out there in two years with your son who will be 18 months this winter with your second child right behind him the following year! After that it will all be downhill in a good way!
