NV has been posting snow reports for the past couple of seasons, sometimes I check them out to see if the moguls have been formed instead of driving there myself. Over at there YT account, came across some vids of Pam Fletcher and Wayne Wong. The place has some cool history, imo.

Circa late eighties, the length of those skis are crazy by today's standards

Here's a vid of Wayne Wong talking about ski ballet history and skiing the bumps near the end of the vid.

At first I thought you were trying to say that video was filmed at nashoba and I was thinking "Wait a minute, there isn't that much vert" lol

That video with Wayne Wong is pretty cool. Definitely the definition of "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast"

Sorry about that, been trying lately to keep my rhetoric low and let the facts do the talking. I assume most know that pam fletcher's dad owns NV and she use to train from that mountain.... well imo, its a good place for slalom training.

Nice finds! Nashoba may not have much vert, but they pack in a lot for what they have. And it is a pretty nice area. They've been around for a long time. Must be doing something right.

In terms of snow, they know who they are (limited vertical) and do the best in terms of marketing it to riders and skiers who don't need the vertical. Other seasons; they have summer camps, Tiki Bar and expanded the witches woods over the past years.

IMO, they are really in tuned with the market for all seasons.

The Tikki Bar is a good time.

Pam Fletcher participated in Nashoba's Tuesday night beer-league races last year. She was super friendly; she chatted up anybody who wanted to talk with her. I talked with her a few times. She never once mentioned who she was.

She'd usually finish about 20th overall (out of about 120 each night). I don't remember her place among the female racers. Everybody kept asking her to "light it up" "just once" and she finally did... she finished third that night. Yeah. She still got it.
