I'm looking for a motel in the area of Wildcat for a one night stay on a Saturday in early Feb. From there, I'm heading to Sunday River for a 2 night stay.I'm looking to spend $50.- $75. per night. Clean rooms are key. Luxuries are not needed. Just a place to drop my head at the end of a long day of skiing. Thanks, Mark

i'll second Colonial Comfort Inn (i just stayed at the hiker's 'dice last night in a matter of fact!). gorham will be closer to both wildcat and sunday river than jackson and there's tons of other cheap lodging options in gorham if Colonial Comfort Inn isn't to your liking. gorham is pretty much the cheapest lodging options you'll find in NH from what i've seen! nice little town too. check out mr.pizza for some good eats!

Motels in Gorham Area

Since you plan on skiing both Wildcat and Sunday River, check out the Town and Country - they offer specials that combine ski tix and motel/dinner. Also, since nightlife is not very in Gorham, they have the only motel with a restaurant/bar/band of any value (atleast they used to).

Another option is to go to skiwildcat.com and check out the ski/stay packages

If you want to be in the North Conway area, try the Swiss Chalet - they have fairly good room choices and you are near night-life (Red Parka, etc.) - we are used to the drive from Jackson to Sunday River (a little under an hour) so the commute is not a factor (this motel accepts pets if that helps)

You can book a reservation at Town and Country online using the link above.

Thanks for the first hand account, redheadskier, and welcome to the boards!
