Hey AZ'ers -

We've just completely re-designed the layout of Snow Faction to give it a more professional look along with making sure it's following all those SEO rules as well. Please post any comments and such you might have.

Thanks!

It looks pretty good. Kinda linear though. Pretty much every page is a bunch of article links down the left side of the page. The look is good though.

Do you have a forum?

Never mind - I found a forum link.

Seems to be broken though.

http://forum.snowfaction.com/ just bring you to a directory index

I did have a forum on that, but have removed it for now until the reader base picks up. It's tough to complete with such good sites such as AlpineZone, NewSchoolers, etc...

I'll just be focusing on content for now. Thanks for the comment on the site being linear. I have an idea to break it up a bit but will probably require a few coding tweaks.

FYI - For those who've been to the site, we have a few new free to enter contests coming up with Freeskier Magazine and another one with Neff Headwear. So remember to check us out.

Is this where I'm supposed to jump in and scold you for shilling your site here? ;) I've had that happen to me before and think it's a little bit silly. Good luck with the site.

I find it a bit silly too, as it kind of reminds me of a country (e.g., a message board) practicing like isolationism by not allowing the community members outside its walls. It's also not like members would be leaving a message board because of a new website. If a person feels like part of a community they will come back to the forum for mostly a social aspect of it and the information presented on it. Your attitude truly shows why this is by far one of the better skiing/snowboarding community forum's that I've visited.

Hmm, I don't have a message board, but okay. In regards to the trip reports, I feel that if we already have almost a daily trip report for Mount Snow (during the season) it would almost still be spam considerings it the same thing over and over again as we have a few die-hard Mount Snow people here. I could post trip reports on heli-skiing and other resorts outside the Northeast, but that wouldn't fit here with the community.

Therefore, I just post once in a while in the General/Misc discussion threads to add my two cents.

That good enough?
