Getting back on topic....I wonder when they will begin making snow? Any intel on that?

My guess would be the weekend before 11/29 opening day, which I will miss.

I know a new hire in the snowmaking dept. He starts 11/7. Not that that means anything.

Most of the time, opening day is more for bragging rights than for quality skiing.

I also bought the FOX 44 ticket deal. I haven't skied Cannon in a number of years. Excited to be heading back for at least one day. I have a pretty flexible schedule when taking vacation days, so I hope to catch a powder day.

That's for sure. One year on opening day they had guns going up and down the Eagle Cliff chair. I could barely hear my iPod. The snow was just a chatter fest. I lasted 10 runs. By comparison I skied opening day at Ragged one year and skied bell to bell and thoroughly enjoyed it. You just never know what you're gonna get.
