Occasionally I scan newspaper web site "reader comments" on various articles. A few intelligent responses lost in a cacophony of mindless rants.

Which leads to my conclusion:
"Never Has So Much Been Said About So Little to So Many by So Few"

Or like my gramps used to say... "Don't talk unless you have something to say."

Never listened to him much, did you?

Everytime I stray to the reader's comments, I kick myself, because I know full well there's little, if anything, useful there.

Just like Mr Ed...

He never speaks - unless he has something to say..

A Horse is a horse - of course...

It can be scary at times. It gets down right horrific once you realize these people vote and reproduce.

As a former resident, I still read daily the Portland Press Herald online. I think they specifically write articles daily on Question 1 Gay Marriage to draw people to their website as each article is guaranteed to generate about 400 reader comments.
