I welcome it as I'm sure the snowguns are CRANKING out the max at Ragged.

That said, it is farking cold out. Walking around Boston for work from customer to customer isn't all that comfortable without ski pants and goggles.

Thankfully my appointments are fairly spread out today and I can retreat to the warm confines of my car and procrastinate on AZ.

It IS cold...

But that's because I underdressed.

The best I heard is "I don't miss winter", to which I always reply "I do". I usually got a puzzled look, then it turn to envy (those who're still young and fit) or resignation (the mentally old).

When I was younger, I never cared about the weather....I was just not affected by cold weather. However, now....if I'm not doing anything athletic outside.....I get freaking cold. I agree it is cold out there today. I'm not complaining....don't get me wrong...but I do see the virtues of the San Francisco weather. Even Salt Lake City...just doesn't get that cold down in the valley. It could be highs in the mid 50's down in the valley in mid-winter and be kick ass snow up in the mountains.

When I walked outside today, I thought it was going to be a lot colder. If I didn't look at the weather report before going out, I would have guessed 40 degrees, not mid 20s.

Take a look at my facebook page where I posted a pic of my Yukon in the airport parking lot after it had sat there while I was in Vermont.
Can you tell who the skiers are?

You know something? I didn't mind shoveling the snow off my Yukon, one bit!

Its amazing to me how much ski pants help keep you warm. I can go out on a day like today with a ski jacket but no ski pants and feel pretty chilly. But when I have those ski pants on as well I'm much more comfortable.

My daughter just told me she's not going outside again this winter. It IS cold out there with the wind right now, but that's because we were dressed to run quick errands, not hang out in the cold. If I'm not skiing, though, I'm not really a fan of what's going on right now. Like was said before, snow is good, but windy cold, not so much--especially when trying to run errands with 2 little kids who can't stand the wind.

I like to respond to the "it's so cold" comment with "yeah, isn't it great". They usually look at me like I have 2 heads, unless they know me.

Oh yeah, in Houston yesterday it was 45 degrees in the morning and people were bundled up like it was 20.

I'm going to SC for Christmas (Mom moved down there a few years ago), and I'm looking forward to tormenting the locals who think anything under 60 is "cold" and anything under 50 is "bitter cold"

+1!!!

Trust me, today, thin cotton scrub pants aren't a good thing to be wearing outside

Could have used a face mask this morning when walking the dog...but the dog was fine, she had a coat on (she's a mini dachshund so she's entitled to wear one).

Skiing in the cold is fine, I'm active enough...when camping out, however, anytime the temp drops below 30 it's quite cold.

I Love it! I love that everyone hates it! I work outside on the water year round. Sometimes on my boat I wish I had my ski helmet and goggles....sometimes on the slopes I wish I had my Grundens. But I NEVER wish I was inside.

I dropped my son off at preschool this morning and the teacher said the old "boy, it's cold out". I just shrugged, so she was "Oh right you are a skier ..."

-3F on the bike this morning. Coldest in a while... but still better then commuting by car or by bus and being stuck in trafic...
