I apologize if this is a rerun, but this is the first time I saw the video and thought it was pretty wild.

There is some "R" language in there, but given what happened to the guy, I can't judge him.

Yeah. I usually crank my bindings up a bit higher when I go out west. I think there are more situations I get into where a ski popping off would mean more trouble than it staying on - like some sketchy traverse with ugly exposure.

I have been skiing for 10 years now and never once did it cross my mind while skiing down a nice bowl full of snow that there might be a big hole in the middle that I might fall into. That poor guy was caught by surprise and I am not sure it was his fault either - it looks like he was inbounds. Should ski patrol do something about a 30+ foot crevasse inbounds? Like a market stick or two made into an X sign or something?
