The groomed trails were frozen solid in the morning, but the sun softened them up nicely by mid-day.

The ungroomed trails were variable. They got 2" of snow/sleet Sat night, which formed a hard crust on the top and was very difficult to make turns because your skis would get caught in ruts when you broke through. However, once that crust was broken up by skier traffic, the snow was very soft and skied like the leftovers of a powder day.

When I went to bring my daughter to preschool, it was 37* and raining. 15 minutes later, it started sleeting/freezing rain. 20 minutes later, it started snowing. Yup, that's New England.
