Okemo 12/22/14

Conditions: LSGR, boilerplate, edgeable hardpack. Some pristine corduroy too. Fast.

Weather: overcast, foggy, intermittent snow. Very low visibility and flat light. No wind, 20s and 30s

A great day. $41 lift tix with my wa wa pass. Skied from 9 to 3 with a short break at the summit lodge. Sucks they don't serve at that bar til 3, though.

The woods were pretty decent if down to dirt n roots in spots. I didn't know there *were* good trees at Okemo!

The new lift is impressive - a six pack bubble chair with heated seats. Prob took 10 runs off that one alone.

Just left there to head back to NJ this morning. Was there Saturday and Sunday and both were great days and perfect temps in the high 20's. I saw that it's gonna warm up there quite a bit during the week. Glad I went when I did.

I didn't particularly like the new lift......at least at this point til they work out the kinks. Had the longest line by far and stopped way too often. I'm sure I'd appreciate it more on colder windier days.

Well, I'm being forced at shotgunpoint to ski at Okemo on Superbowl Sunday. Hope I get a chance to check out those imaginary woods lines....
