Okemo Opens Friday, November 12 with Top to Bottom Terrain

LUDLOW, VT — The Okemo snowmaking team has been blowing snow non-stop over the past several days in preparation for opening day of the season on Friday, November 12, 2004. For the first day of the season, Okemo will be offering 8 trails and 4 lifts in operation.

Skiing and riding will be available for advanced skiers and riders top to bottom on trails such as Count Down, Upper World Cup, Lower World Cup, Link, Defiance, Buckhorn and Drop Off. Snowmaking operations are continuing at every opportunity to open additional terrain. The Northstar Express will start turning at 9:00 am on opening day, along with the Glades Peak Quad, Sachem Quad and F-10 Poma.

The Base Café, Sitting Bull Lounge and Summit Lodge will be open serving food and beverage. The Okemo Express Rental/Repair Shop, Penguin Playground Day Care Center, Okemo Snowsports Shop and Mountain Services Office will also be open.
