Sunday took the boys to Citifield (I'm still gonna call it Shea) for the first time. Place is beautiful. They did it right. Game was vs the Phils. Watched Perez melt down in the 1st inning. Had to pull him while facing Pedro. He had thrown over 45 pitches at this point and nobody was out…

I told the boys before hand this trip was to check out the stadium, if a baseball game happens, all the better (any Met fan will know what I mean).

Well we got to see an inside-the-park dinger in the first inning (Pagan) and an unassisted triple play to end the game in the 9th inning.

How rare is that?? Checked google and it was only the 14th unassisted triple play so that got to be the first time the two ever coincided. Pretty cool

Boys had a great time, final was 9-7 so a game happened too.

It was only the 2nd unassisted ever to end a game. You did indeed seem something that might not be seen again for a 100 or more years. very cool

I watched it on TV great game.

I was fortunate to see a "once in a lifetime game" 7/3/78 Yankees vs. Angels. Ron Guidry struck out 17 for a 3-0 win. His best outing of his career in his career year.
