KO, unless the weather changes and/or a special deal comes up it looks like my daughter's season ends 3/29 at K-ton. I will be back up there the 4th-9th of April teaching a buncha Brits kids. But after Easter????

Liftopia shows NOTHING available for deals April 13th-19th.
A quick surf of the web sites for many areas show 4/12 as the end of the line.

Who will be open the following week and what is the best deal gonna be??

Gore, Whiteface, Bush, Mt. Snow??

One Day trip from the Albany area.
Looking for someplace other than K.
The bush is just a bit of a reach for a day trip.
Mt. Snow if we get a deal.
I'm just not used to actually buying a lift ticket anymore.

Liftopia probably has no deals showing because resorts tend to change late season prices based on the product they offer and conditions. I they get a late season dump, you can bet the price goes up to top dollar! But more than likely, prices will already be substantially lowered, especially by the third week in April. You can add Wildcat and Stowe to mondeo's list and Bretton Woods has been known to hold out late and I wouldn't discount Saddleback either.

Sugarbush is going as long as they can. As to who is going to have best conditions, it will depend on if we get any new snow or not. This March has been terrible for snow. We have not had any since the first day or two...and then most of Vermont got little if anything. Since then, rain almost every week. If this weather continues, we're going to have a hard time getting past mid-April or so.

you are such a pessimist..the forecast looks nice and cool so at the very least..manmade trails should stay good..

I tried Mt Snow's webpage for tickets...nada

Mount Snow has said that after Easter they will be on a week by week basis based on the previous weekends volume. My hunch is that as long as the Carinthia side of the mtn is open with parks, they'll have enough day ticket revenue to spin the lifts as long as the snow permits.

Let me know how it shapes out.. I'd really like to do a long weekend up there before the season ends.

Resort has always closed early...

Ownership always seems to close the Loaf leaving weeks..if not a whole month...of earning turns. Hoping for another year of great weather for ReggaeFest.

Realist, yes. Pessimist, no. I was called overly optimistic and biased three weeks ago and now pessimist. Can't win I guess! I guess I am just about in the middle then.

Besides the weather, this is going to be an interesting spring because of the economy. The way the game goes is if folks have enough snow to "think" skiing, they will come. But as soon as there is grass, it is a different game.

We did get about 3-4 inches of snow on the summits today and yes there is a lot of snow. But in the cities and on the valley there is none. There were not many people at Ellen today. Unfortunately, they are a business, so they usually close due to running out of people and not snow. This season we'll see how much snow will be left....
