1st open last season in VT now they have even more fan guns!!
NOV 14 was my first day last season and they had been open for a few days already

Yup, late October/Early November cold across New England and it will be between the 3 fan guns of Woodbury, Mount Snow and all their fan guns (their mountain ops head even mentioned that they're thinking about atleast a little "blow for show" opportunity REAL soon on the Mount Snow passholders site this week) and both Sugarbush and Sunday River with their air/water and altitude and latitude.
If heaven forbid there's no real cold window until mid-November, well then it will be a total free for all between about a dozen areas for 1st to open title
SR has a bunch of the Boyne low e fan guns now too... (as do Loon and SL)

I hear Loveland is making snow.......any ground reports...BMM?

I wish they had foot rests on that chair..anyway..my first day last season was also at Mount Snow and also my first time skiing there on November 10th 2007..a quality manmade product for sure!!!!!! I'll be there again if they're first to open..![]()
Wait another year or two and I'd bet that you'll have a different version of a base to summit chair there, and you'll probably be able to ride it with 5 of your steeziest friends![]()
down to 30 degrees in Dover the other night... Mount Snow will start running the guns soon, maybe beat last years 11/10 date??
SR if it opens early.... I still believe will be t2 with down loading.
The easy down and up mid station loading platform they put in a couple of years ago on the high speed locke tripple, gives them the extra elevation advantage and a shorter run to cover.
I'm comfortable they will make every effort to open asap. That was one of the original reasons why I bought a pass here. The boyne guns I thought were going where they put the new electrical work. Dream maker, escapade, Sundance and some other areas in south ridge. The guns need power. have seen the work on other areas. Have not really looked either.
What a positive topic. Early season turns. I likes that.![]()
