Rod Taylor, owner of Woodbury Ski Area in Woodbury, CT passed away on Saturday July 5th.

A true ski legend, you have to love skiing even more than your love to actually ski to open and run a ski area, we all know running any kind of ski facility takes everything a person can give. We stand on the shoulders of people like him who have built our sport to what it is today.

Wonder what this means for Woodbury? Is there any sane person who would wanna run that place?

RIP Rod! A true legend in this business, even if he operated one of the smallest ski areas.

I'm sure we'll all be waiting to see if during the 1st cold snap this fall if those Hedco fan guns that Rod loved to use will be on to try and get some snow to slide on as early as possible under the new owners....
