One of my best friends got married in D.C. this weekend. We went out Friday night then again Saturday after the reception. Hell of a city. Fun late 20's to 40's crowds at all the bars. Good times, no arguments, never a sketchy moment in the bars or on the street.

Major Asshole and his beautiful bride.

Unbeknown to me and others there's a tradition where the last Marine smacks the bride in the ass with his sword.

Hotel Monaco Bar, The Green Turtle, Fado, Clydes are the only names I can remember. A few more in Chinatown.

How'd you pull off drunk debauchery in DC w/o any sketchy moments? That's pretty good. DC I hear is just sketchy in general.

Perhaps it's a relative thing. You are talking to a New Yorker who has thick skin to city life.

How does Chinatown, DC, compare to Chinatown, Manhattan or Queens?

Noticeable cleaner than Manhattan or Jackson Heights and Elmhurst. More of a facade to make it look like a Chinatown. In fact we all took note that the only Asian we saw in Chinatown was the bride's brother who was stumbling around with us.

When my friends get married now we always do the same thing but with ski poles...

DC is cool.. My brother used to live in Georgetown... Great place to party... In the "fern bars"

Ya know. I took a drive around Georgetown and liked it. I was thinking it was more of a place for my wife and I to stay and hang out in rather than a bunch NY drunks.

Steezy..I was in DC two weekends ago visiting my sister..it is a great city...if I wasn't so into skiing and needed a job..it would be a nice place to live..expensive rents though..almost NYC prices..but so many hot 20-something women..

Oh well I can visit whenever I want for a night..
