Conditions: PP, moderately 'firm'
Course: Twister
Gates: Twisty

Our first somewhat technical course of the season... so far most had been pretty straightforward, tonight was more what we's seen in years past: a course that punishes you if you don't ski clean. Amazingly enough, that seemed to be just what we needed: the AZ team finished first for the night! In fact, all our point scorers were on the first page, pretty sure that's never happened before. We're still on the bubble for Monday nights (6th), so we've still certainly got to keep it up to make the finals - several notables (Vlad) were not in attendance tonight.

I was late, so no chance to actually ski before racing. Course was a more traditional Twister, with a good cranker just before the flat section. Apparently the more technical setup worked, since only one platinum placed. I screwed up just before the last pitch, then went a bit aggressive and caught a gate to the kneecap - wow did that hurt.

K wasn't just the fastest woman, but was the fastest on our team as well!
Bob didn't feel on, but still placed well.
Ga2ski always cleans up with the tele bonus
I'm back where I should be, finishing middle of the pack and taking up the rear in points for the team (until I get older...)

Big thanks to ga2ski for ditching domestic duties and making it out, then tearing out the toe piece of his hammerheads (I swear he skied faster pissed off on one ski :p ). Also thanks to the Pats techs who helicoiled it for him. Class act. And skibum9995 for excellent timing, arriving just in time to line up. Pretty sure if he had time to get the speed suit on we'd have another half point.

got a couple runs on the slalom course on FIS, which we gaped up worse than the HS kids.

Oh, and Bob got a funbag!

Congrats to the team for handling last night's course well. I was thoroughly punished but look forward to the next opportunity.

Since bailing after my fun bag.... I started to write a report and found Roark had done it already. My worst night, but I did get one gold run that helped point wise, but I skied badly. first night I decidied to go for it instead of just riding it. got my ass kicked.

Kara freeking Rocks. Roark Wow, Ben with his supeman out of the Car into the ski gear was pretty impressive. Do you want a hamburger a beer or both?

Ga2ski had gear isssues, but got hooked up. Well done there. He is fast and his points are huge.

Hammer has become my race partner the last few weeks and kept the spirit and competition strong.

How bout that first place?

Yea when it sorted by team we do make the first page..... They did that the first week as well. Send them a e-mail captain. :) Pats is jsut a class deal all the way. What a great place to have so close. It was 6 f so it seemed warm. :)

Nice job last night everyone! Sounds like I missed a fun course, can't wait to get back at it!

I'm feeling more like myself finally, so I should be back next week. Hopping back on skis Saturday for a couple runs to ease back into it, and get ready for Monday night.

Typical Pats Peak. I sent a request to get the results set up for individual results. Adjustments made a pleasant e-mail. Just a cool bunch of great people. Kara first page first girl.. To hell with being a girl. Just freeking awesone, and the repair shop hooking of Ga2ski post race with his issue. There guys/girls get it.

I made it just in time to race, didn't get a chance to look at the course, not that it matters much. Had the typical cranker coming on to the flats. I'm going to try to get there a bit earlier next week to get the suit on. Fun week, and good for the team.
