I showed up around 4 and took some runs on the soft, slow snow with my SL skis. I decide to try an experiment and race on the short skis to take a more aggressive line and be able to carve it cleaner. The course was pretty straight forward, nothing really crazy. It got a little rutted for the second run, but not too bad considering the soft snow.

Racing on the SL sticks seemed to work as I ended up in 2nd and got a Platinum. Good night from roark who was only about a half second off Gold. Ga2ski actually made tele turns but still manages to pull in 9.4 points. We dropped to 4th in the team standings after dropping the 2 lowest scores.

In the bar afterwards there was lots of schwag won by our team and djspookman and myself entered an eating contest that wasn't quite what we were expecting.

Not having Seth hurt us a bit, we could have dropped spookmans score ;) Glad I had a decent night when we needed mine.

I had my best run this year, as did skibum9995. Soft hero snow that started to firm up a little bit towards the end. Ruts appeared, but weren't terrible. One of the straighest courses I've seen, more traditional nastar than in the past. Lots of sub 19 sec times announced. tree_skier would've killed this course thanks to the extra momentum he carries. tele turns don't seem to slow down ga2ski so long as he carves the flats. Scott is now putting up tele times comparable to his alpine times a couple years ago. I got revenge on spookman for beating me last week - apparently he needed those burrs on his skis. Mr. Bond put up a very solid time for a single planker.

Nice night with some flurries. We finished up with a fun run and a couple hurricane laps. On stiff skis oddly spaced bumps are interesting.

2 bearded dudes + fruit by the foot + no hands....

LOL!!! yah, but the free drink was worth it!

Had a good time last night, the ruts took me for a ride, guess I need to find a tighter line next time! Snow was great, and I thought the course ran well!

Very fun course. Definitely missed Seth. Mr. Bond did very well as mentioned.

Not sure if people get more pissed if I don't "make enough tele turns" before the tuck and beat them or beat them while doing tele turns ;)

Great job by the Pat's team as usual.

Good job guys. Scott and g2ski came and rooted me on at Sunday River in the nastar open on Sat thankx.

Not much has changed still a sliver racer. I did quality for the nationals and have booked a room. If any one is out there lets hookup.

If you didn't race in tie die maybe you could get a gold.:flame: Then again you are probably just "playing the system" so you can smoke the silver division and get a coat like someone else we know.

When are you coming to carry down AZ coats at Pat's. Just kidding.

One more thing: we need to dump Peter from our Nastar.com ranking... he's dragging us down!
