Pine Ridge Snow Park in Barre, MA is open for skiing and boarding. It is a small, 200-225 ft vert. hill, but it is GREAT for families with children and people who want to make some turns without the hassle of the lines at other local areas and for LESS money.

It is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT and OWNERSHIP and this new group seems very interested in making positive changes. The area has been spruced up and cleaned up and new equipment(some is used but new to the area) has been purchased. They seem committed to making Pine Ridge the GREAT area it once was and have upgraded the snowmaking and have plans to upgrade the lifts and facilities for the next ski season. All of the buildings have received a fresh coat of paint and the lodge has has a new fod service put in place, complete with a new kitchen facility.

Pine Ridge is family oriented. On Friday evenings, the area will offer family night. The family skis for $30...that's right, only 30 bucks for the family to ski. Lessons are available each session that the area is open. Opening times are Friday 6:30pm, Saturday 9:30 am, and Sunday 9:30 am. Pine Ridge will also be open for holidays and school vacations.

The area's phone number is: (978) 355-6446
Here is a link to a website I am developing for them. It includes a price list and a trail map as well as some pictures from previous years of operation and new pictures from the clean up and ski swap days. I will be adding more pictures as they become available:

I will add new pictures after skiing there today.

Great!

This sounds like a great little place. My daughter and her boyfriend will love it, for that price! I'll try to get over sometime, just to enjoy a small family area again. ...like going back in time.

Not the greatest of conditions this weekend, but they will be making MORE snow last weekend and I am certain it will improve. They had some problems with the snowmaking system early on, and this past week 2 of the guys making snow fell through the ice of the snow making pond. Both are fine though.
