Ok guys, looking for input.

At the end of Febuary, the house is planning for a big ski vacation. Here's the lowdown.

4 Adults, 3 ski
2 Kids, Ages 8 & 12

Initially, we where looking at Smugglers, but now that we're starting to look at things, we're not so sure. Smuggs be great for the kids, we know that. But at least ONE of the adults simply will not ski. Now, I noticed they have some art programs at Smuggs, but they seem to be more kiddie and family driven, then actually giving her a chance to have fun by herself. Also, Smuggs snowmobile program seems a little more limited, they only describe them as 'tours', and not 'go have fun'. Looking at the cost quote for smuggs at 3-5 days, it'd be up to 4 grand.

It was also pointed out by some in the house that maybee we could find a rented condo a bit better, and we initially liked the idea of http://www.vacationrentals.com/vacation-rentals/965.html but it's unavailable. Something like that with the private hot tub could give us some time after the kids goto bed to have a few drinks, watch some movies, and chill in the private hot tub.

Are there any other ski areas in New England that anyone might recommend that would have more varied adult activities, while at the same time having a good ski program for the kids (higher end beginner to intermediate)? This also gives us the benifit of possibly going to a larger mountain like Killington or Sunday River, but as I've never been, I figured you guys would have the best ideas.

Andrea, the 'not going to ski everevereverevereverever(am I getting her point accross)', is the hardest one, becouse we don't want her to be bored to tears while the rest of us have a grand old time. She is willing to go tubing, so that's at least one plus that we'd like to see.

Is Smugglers our best bet? Honestly?

I'm currently scouring around, but we're looking over the period of this week to narrow things down while we can still get a reservation. Heck, I'm even looking twards Lake Placid, but that'd be about the furthest we'd go.

As has been said many times before
Can't beat Lake Placid for skiing challenge, town, dining options, and off hill non-skiing activities.
There is easy hiking, cross country skiing, shopping, museems for non-skiing.
They have a great kids program and you can ski with your kids (if intermediate) off of the same chairs all day long.
