Date(s) Skied: January 31st (Saturday)
Resort or Ski Area: Plattekill (NY)
Conditions: P, PP (really)
Trip Report: Wow! Of my ~10 ski days in the Catskills & Vermont, Saturday had the best conditions of the season. Lots of packed powder with the occasional powder shot on the trailsides and in the woods. Speaking of the woods, the extra snow helped a lot. Still need another 6 inches for optimal ski base preservation. Almost all of the trails were in good shape. Some decent bumps on the diamonds. Nothing to challenging but soft & fun. Conditions began to deteriorate around lunchtime with limited barespots and ice patches popping up.
Liftlines - a surprise for Plattekill. Very short (0-2 minutes) but they were there. Most crowded I've seen it. Hope that trend doesn't build.
