Resort or Ski Area: Plattekill
Conditions: Spring
Trip Report: As the thread title states, I headed up to Plattekill for their Facebook Fans ski free day. Plattekill is a fun little place and there's virtually no runouts.
I made surprisingly good time at 2:33. The drive past Kingston is so much fun. When I pulled into lot at 9:15am, there were 15 cars there. I got booted up and over to the window for my free ticket. I think they were expecting a much larger turnout.
Conditions were soft granular in the morning, but around 10:30, the sun broke out and everything started to turn to nice spring corn. Other then meeting up with AndyZee for a few runs, it really felt like I was skiing at a private mountain for the day.
First run up
The mountain biking looks real fun here
This was part of their terrain park, but all the features were removed.
