So just some questions, because I need some good snow days, and cheap hotel. I see the salon and dinner place on Platty website is cheap but no way of making reservations online only looks like a restaurant. I found Price Chopper supermarket is now selling tickets for Platty and 3 other hills for $30 can be use any day this year. I will post that link later. What do weather people think about snow Saturday and Sunday, NOAA says rain Saturday night maybe I should ski just one day this weekend? Also saw a Super8 hotel on Onetta NY about 22 miles away. Does anyone know if this is mountain roads or easy access a crappy car? Or of a better cheap deal near platty. Thank you for any responses to my annoying questions and hope you A zoners are going to get some great snow this weekend.

First off Scotty....Stop talking about NCP...it gives off a very bad vibe.

Second, I've never stayed there but I think the T-bar Saloon is pretty cheap and its right in town.

I will stop talking about that word. I was really looking foward to powder this weekend, just a little annoyed but I sure skiing will be good because it is platty. That salon website only show menu for food so I thought maybe they don't do over night stays. I will call them thanks for the info.

IF you are referring to Oneonta, the drive is rather easy, state highways (23 to 30) all the way until you hit the access road in Roxbury. Also could check Stamford, which is a bit closer, although I don't know what, if any, lodging is there.

Nice, thank you for the info I love easy drives.

Still not buying NWS' rain prediction for Plattekill on Saturday.

Looks to me like Roxbury should be above the R/S line. National Weather Service can eat my ass.

And this is as close as the R/S line gets Saturday during the overnight. It's close, but Platty is about 20 miles above that line = no reason to panic.

Crap car, cut hole in roof, put this Ace Hardware heater in the back seat and you got yourself unlimited free overnight ski accommodations at any resort. I know I know you can thank me later.
