Did anyone here ski Plattekill after last week's storm? I read over at TGR that the owner fired up the lift for those who showed up to hike for turns over the weekend. Pretty cool if you ask me! :beer:

Never met him, but the owner does seem pretty cool and down to earth.

If they did, then we went to the wrong Catskill mountain. I'll check to see if that's true.

According to my contact at the mountain, this is 100% true. Wow. Would've been sweet to get in on that!

The thread on TGR has pictures of the guys riding the lift, so I had no doubt.

yea i mentioned this to you guys last weeek. Obviously noone read it! Nah one day he offered to fire it up for guys if they wanted to pay....then I think a day or 2 later he just opened it for free.

I thought I read that somewhere (the part where they offered to run the lift for a fee), but I couldn't remember where...
