I have no experience with them and am looking to get one for the car for a 4 hour drive coming up with my 2 year old. Anyone have any recommendations? Looking for something under $150 if possible. Will probably get used maybe a handful of times a year, so don't need super high quality but something that'll take a little abuse.

Three of my family members have the Toshiba SD-P715. It's fairly inexpensive and does the job for them. Nothing great with not a ton of bells and whistles but the picture is clear and they have all had great luck with them.

I would just go cheap as possible. We've gone through 3 of these in 4 years. they just take alot of abuse going in and out of the car (we only allow it for longer drives) and all the prying and inquisitive fingers of the kids.

I'll see what one we have when i get home, its a dual screen and cost about $150 i believe.

Go for the dual screen ones. I bought a laptop-esque model first for $70 on sale (I think it was around $100 regularly; it was a black Friday sale) and it never attached well to the seat because it wasn't really designed for that; it was designed to sit on a table or something like that. The kids got a dual for Christmas from my MIL and it's much nicer, and probably ~$150 (or less since she usually shops at Costco).

For a 2 year old, you don't need a dual screen. For 30$ you can get a Coby at Walmart. They can drop it, spill juice on it and run over it with their big wheel, who cares!

I use one for our ski club meeting, plug it into a projector and play ski porn. Sure beats a PC - push play and it goes.

Yes, go cheap. Ours is I think an Audiovox. Relatively small screen but its perfect for the car. Has come in very very handy. My daughter just holds it on her lap. Works out well.
I think that's the brand of our crappier one. Sounds like it would be the right kind, anyway.
