The story now is they hope to open this weekend but I'll only be an hour away from there on Thursday. If anyone hears solid info that they'll open that day please post here. I'm working this weekend so Thursday is my only shot.

Previous history and the word I heard last sunday was Friday or Sat. The facebook page seems to be the place to get the most info know. Less is being posted on the board by SR and more in facebook.

wonder how Punch is handling these warm temps. I would have to imagine if they open, it will be T2 only.

Temps look to be in the mid 40's for the rest of the week during the day but much colder at night. If the forecast of freezing rain and snow holds, I bet it would do a number on lower sunday punch. It would be great to get out there this weekend for some top to bottom. I missed out last weekend.

Whoot! indeed! Will be there one of the two days depending on a few factors... notably weather.

I highly suggest hooking up with bobr and sunday river folks. You will have a fun time!

I would of gone on Friday before the rain. Looks like a total of 1-2", that may even shut them down for Sunday. They should open Friday and close on Saturday and see what is left for Sunday. Hopefully the forcast will change??

Yeah, looks like a wash out on Saturday. I missed last week. I guess I will have to wait for weekend.

I guess I will wait to see what is left for Sunday since they will not open Friday.

just an FYI, the lower part of the SR open trails is all slush and mud, the rain and high temps did a number on it this week, i will tell you this one of our reporters went "hiking" to the top of t2 on thursday, he didnt get far, not much left

but enjoy paying the ticket prices if they do open this weekend

Watch out for grass and rocks, and we will see the skiers in November at the Apres4eva party, when SR is REALLY open!

No many of us thought the bottom would survive. Its pretty well known the mountain opened to show some appreciation to the pass holders and to do some marketing. I'll be there tomorrow as long as there is something to make turns on.

I'm not real judgmental when I ski in Oct. My expectation have already been exceeded. Last Sunday was pretty damn good.

update.

From the home page.

Hi gang,

Just updated the Mountain Report for the weekend. It's looking like we'll still have top-to-bottom on T2 > Sunday Punch > Lower Sunday Punch. May lose some snow at the very base on Saturday, but we'll see how it goes. It's skiing in October. W00t!

Seems like we have conflicting reports.

wow. Wouldn't have expected that...

Hopefully they won't get too abused with the NCP tomorrow.
