From the Mt. Snow Website snowreport:

"...Now here’s the exciting part. Weather and snow conditions permitting, we’d like to open the Discovery Chairlift for the weekend. Lift tickets will be $10 and all proceeds will go to charity. Then you can feel all selfless and giving while you shred. Keep in mind, the weather is a fickle beast, so we make no guarantees...."

The Discovery Chairlift serves the "Launchpad" bunny hill, but they'll make it fun with a whole slew of features. Should be fun to watch anyway...don't think I'll be fighting the newschoolers for my share of the limited square footage of snow that will be available.

These guys are trying to get some serious buzz going! RIght On!

How much vert is the discovery chairlift??

Here's another video that might give you a perspective on the size of the hill. The beginning and end of the video were of my 4-year old in the Launch Pad area and on the Disco lift. The 3:00 mark probably give the best, quickest view.

They were talking about a few top to bottom runs for the "official" opening. And a terrain park as well.

Oh Well...

From Mt. Snow's website:

"UPDATE 1:00pm: I just got word that the lift will NOT be turning tomorrow. Launch Pad should still have a hike-able terrain park open to the public and because we're not carting you to the top, it's still FREE! "

And how much snow has K made so far??? And more importantly, would K even allow hiking to snow that they've made even though they haven't officially opened yet?? ;)

^ people have already hiked and skied deeper snow @ K. :)

but were there mad steezy rails???

the dusting on the peak counts as deep snow ? ha

You people are nuts...

???My ski area's Dad can beat up your ski area's Dad...???

This was just a thread saying  :daffy::daffy: that one mountain might spin a lift this weekend....now it's a bunch of :argue:.
