It is the age old question: What currently undeveloped mountain would be awsome to have a lift(s) built on it? Let's leave Mt Washington out of this since it It is obvious that it would rock even if it would only be open 1/4 of the time. My vote goes to a mountain that is a neighbor of Sunday River.
Old Speck
Top Elevation = 4170 ft
Bottom = 1450 ft
Vertical = 2720 ft
It would be a really steep mountain overall. The steepest spots reaching 82% or 40 degrees! There would be plenty of room to expand East to Slide Mt (2 miles) and Sunday River Whitecap (3.3 miles). There would also be a huge back country potential and it in the Northern NH/Western ME snowbelt at the northern end of the Mahoosuc Range. I would almost call it an East Coast version of Big Sky.
Only part of the mountain is in Grafton Notch State Park (North-Northwest side). I'm not sure about the rest. It could be for sale
