The news Wednesday night was saying it was the same people who own Brownstone Park http://brownstonepark.com/ in Middletown that wants to buy it.

If this pans out then, I think that it's a given that they'll be some pretty cool non snow season things to do there. Brownstone Park is lots of fun and really well thought out IMHO!

I wonder how interested they'd be in enhancing the summer activities at a location only about 20 minutes away from the summer adventure park they already run? Seems like their main focus would be on winter time, leaving the summer stuff for Brownstone, IMHO.

That could be. I haven't been there in quite some time, but I wonder if they have enough vertical drop/pitch to keep mountain bikers happy/interested?

Highland doesn't have much vert either, no one complains about that place

With the crowds they've been attracting at the quarry, having another option would be nice for those of us not wanting to be in long lines for fun.

From what I can find Highland has about 800' of vertical drop, while Powder Ridge has around 500'.

For some reason I thought highland was around 600 to 700. Anyway, I think 500 would be plenty as long as the trails were laid out well. My biggest problem would be convincing Randi to let me get a DH rig.
